People who keep physically active and not sedentary reduce their risks of developing cancer, according to a research study done by the Japanese health ministry.

The survey was performed on 80,000 men and women between the ages of 45 to 74 living in nine different Japanese prefectures.

The most active men had a 13% decrease in cancer risk compared to the least active group, and the most active women encountered a 16% decrease than their least active group.
