Core Stix announces the launch of its new full body strength and conditioning device, the Pro PGX, perfect for on-the-go personal trainers, group exercise classes and in-home gyms. The Pro PGX board is remarkably light (under 38 lbs.), making it the most compact, lightweight and portable total body gym available anywhere. The launch of the new board culminated in the taping of the company's first-ever instructional video, hosted by celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson.
Peterson has been incorporating Core Stix Pro boards into his routines for approximately two years, and has enjoyed the versatility as well as the fast results obtained by the workout. "Core Stix has proven to be an incredible tool at my gym! It enables intense core engagement, improved cardio performance, and strength building in a total body workout," he stated from his personal training gym in Beverly Hills. "I love it because it delivers fast results."
"I was excited to work with Sarah (Mitchell) and Kevin (Lilly) in this video. Even though Sarah challenges her body through her work and has for years, Core Stix threw her a curve ball that she really enjoyed. With Kevin's advanced training knowledge as a NSCA certified trainer and working with 10-12 clients a day, he loved the versatility that Core Stix offers."
For about $849 (plus shipping/handling), the new Core Stix Pro PGX board comes equipped with a pair of Lite, Medium and Heavy rods (extra lite and extra heavy rods are available for purchase), an exercise chart, user manual and the instructional DVD with Gunnar Peterson (DVD available May 2012).
The device, designed by Core Stix Co-Founder and former Space Shuttle engineer Kregg Koch, is available in several rich colors including gloss red, gloss blue, matte silver and flat black. It has 37 different rod anchor points for exceptional versatility, and built-in handles on the sides and bottom for increased portability (optional wheels are available for added mobility). The Pro PGX board's dimensions are 27.5 inches x 55 inches, making it stow-friendly (see all board dimensions and weights at: http://www.corestix.com/the-system). Exercise routines and programs are downloadable from the website at http://www.corestix.com/exercises. Floor mount and larger scale professional models are also available through the website.
Core Stix encourages demos of their equipment by fitness journalists, trainers and professionals. "We find that once they try the board, they are eager to share it - whether they simply talk to their audience about it or they incorporate it into their routines with clients," founder Mike Kadar (also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins) said, "People are always looking for equipment to provide that cross between efficiency and effectiveness in workouts, as well as something fun that's a departure from the status quo. We're pretty proud that we've achieved that with Core Stix."
