Dr. Darcy Ward and Dr. Jennifer Greenfield, the doctors of chiropractic at Center for Chiropractic & Wellness, a North Raleigh chiropractic center, have announced that they are now offering a new non-invasive therapy modality called the ML 830 cold laser from Microlight Corporation of America. The low-energy, non-thermal laser is a way of delivering beneficial light to deep tissues to promote the process of photobiostimulation. Analogous to photosynthesis in plant cells, photobiostumulation in human cells expedites cell repair and stimulates the immune, lymphatic and vascular systems. It was primarily designed for the treatment of repetitive stress injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, but it has also been used for knee problems, bells palsy, fibromyalgia and other myofascial pain syndromes. Carolina Chiropractic & Wellness is one of only a handful of health practitioners in the Triangle who offer the ML 830 laser.

Center for Chiropractic & Wellness was founded by Dr. Darcy Ward and Dr. Jennifer Greenfield in 2007 and offers health and wellness services, including chiropractic, myofascial release, acupuncture, allergy elimination technique, hormone assessment, Tuina/Chinese massage, Applied Kinesiology, neuro-emotional technique and reflexology. The facility is located on the American Institute of Healthcare & Fitness (AIHF) campus at 8300 Health Park in Raleigh.
