Panasonic, manufacturer of the Core Trainer Exerciser (model # EU6441A), today announced the results of a recently completed independent study conducted by researcher Neil Wolkodoff, PhD, who has worked extensively with professional and Olympic athletes to improve conditioning and performance. The study indicates that the Core Trainer helps build strength and endurance, improves flexibility and can even help improve balance.*

The Core Trainer performed beyond my expectations, said Wolkoldoff. Not only were the changes in core strength and flexibility statistically significant, but VO2 [endurance] levels also increased, while participants experienced a positive change in body composition. Core Trainer study participants showed results with 15 minutes of daily use that some more aggressive products dont show in the regularly recommended 30 minutes a day.

Eleven participants, ranging in age from 35 to 60 years old, rode the Core Trainer for 15 minutes a day, five days a week, for two months. Wolkodoff met with study participants once a week to gauge progress. For the remainder of the time, they used the Core Trainer independently.

Panasonics Core Trainer engages the thigh, back, abdominal and other core muscles for no-impact strength training. By constantly moving the user off their center of balance, they are forced to use core muscles to rebalance. Pre-programmed settings and variable tilt and speeds create an intense core workout. The three Core Trainer programs and nine intensity levels were designed to help users build better strength for daily activities. And since the Core Trainer is quiet while operating, its the perfect exerciser to use while watching television or even talking on the phone.

The current Core Trainer model, EU6441A, is the third product generation. Panasonic is the first company to develop this electric core training product and has sold more than 150,000 units in Asia since making its debut.

The results of the clinical study support the quality and value of the Core Trainer, said Deborah Anderson, National Marketing Manager, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, Healthcare Division. The Core Trainer is now not only proven to be effective, its also easy and fun to use. Its a great exercise solution for the busy consumer looking to integrate a quick workout into their daily routine.
