Transition, southeastern Wisconsin's first all-in- one personal training studio, performance center and bicycle store is now open.  The 6,000 square-foot center, founded by Personal Trainer Pete Mueller and Bicycle Retailer John Huenink, is located along Pewaukee Lake at 203 W. Wisconsin.   For the first time in Southeastern Wisconsin, recreational and endurance athletes alike have a single destination for personal and group training, advanced fitness testing, movement and massage, coaching and full- service bicycle needs.  Transition also includes a Brewers Two cafe.

"Whether the goal is a daily walk or a first-place finish, we offer customers the same types of services and equipment that were once reserved just for elite and professional athletes," said Mueller, who trains many of the Milwaukee area's top business leaders and athletes.  "Our goal is to help customers move and perform at their best in life or sport."

Working with cyclists, triathletes, runners and general fitness enthusiasts, Transition uses leading-edge methods and technologies, such as Functional Movement Screenings, VO2 Threshold and Metabolic Testing, and video- taped custom bike fitting sessions, as the foundation for training plans and needs.  Programs are tailored to each customer's ability level and goals, and are designed to safely produce results.

"We offer a combination of industry expertise, passion and patience in a personable, comfortable and friendly setting," says Huenink, a former competitive cyclist who opened his first bicycle store four years ago.  "Customers can look to Transition as the place to meet for indoor and outdoor group rides; swim, fitness and nutrition clinics; or a quick repair."

Transition will hold a grand opening weekend celebration March 23 and 24.  Events include fitness contests, indoor bike time trials, family-friendly activities and the chance to win nearly $2,500 worth of products and services.

Besides its Pewaukee flagship location, Transition offers services in Downtown Milwaukee at Cathedral Square, 807 N. Jefferson Ave. and University Club Towers, 825 N. Prospect Ave., and in Elm Grove at the Western Racquet Club, 1800 Highland Dr. Transition professionals are licensed and certified in a variety of disciplines.  Learn more about group training sessions, special events, and tips at Or call 262-264-0070.
