Hedstrom Fitness, manufacturer and distributor of the BOSU Ball, inked a deal this month for exclusive worldwide distribution rights to manufacture and market the Kamagon product line of water-filled, kettlebell-esque exercise balls that challenge muscles while stimulating the nervous system for a more powerful, effective full-body workout.

The addition of the Kamagon product line to the growing Hedstrom Fitness suite of unique, versatile, effective fitness products is part of an aggressive growth plan the company has undertaken this year to dominate the fitness market with equipment delivering intensely simple performance.

Most well-known for the BOSU, Hedstrom Fitness is the original manufacturer of the Kamagon product line. And, much like with the BOSU, bringing Kamagon into the Hedstrom stable of products made business sense for both parties as Hedstrom plans to leverage its strong retail and global distribution channels to extend Kamagon's presence both internationally and in the retail environment.

"Our business model is to seek distinctive athletic products that fit our brand, work together and put us in both the manufacturer and distributor seats. BOSU, our first product fitting this bill, proved to be a tremendous success," said Mike Kelly, CFO Hedstrom Fitness. "Now, we want to achieve that same success with Kamagon plus leverage BOSU programming to provide Kamagon ball users with an unparalleled fitness experience."

Proven to more effectively engage muscles to a deeper level, the Kamagon was initially adopted into the Mixed Martial Arts and similar markets. In addition, it is used by NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, Rex Bull Racing and NCAA major sports teams as part of their overall conditioning routines. Hedstrom Fitness will be catapulting Kamagon from the major sports arenas into the general fitness, rehab and active aging markets while at the same time exposing traditional Kamagon users to the BOSU.

About Kamagon:
Kamagon products are uniquely versatile water motion or Hydro-Inertia balls that create unstable resistance to challenge the muscles while simultaneously stimulating the nervous system. The Kamagon causes the body to recruit and use additional muscle fibers to perform the same exercises as would be performed with kettlebells or medicine balls but with the added core impact of Hydro-Inertia for a stronger, more effective full body workout. Ultimately, the Kamagon teaches the body more effective movement thought a mind/body connection, similar to that of the BOSU. Hedstrom Fitness has received positive feedback on the 9" product from retail partners and by early next year consumers should start seeing them available on the Kamagonball.com web site and through participating retail partners.Kamagon balls are designed for fitness enthusiasts, athletes (from general to pro for MMA, football, hockey, basketball, soccer, tennis, etc.), rehabilitation patients and older adults.
