Fitness Together, the worlds largest personal training organization, today announced that Scarsdale resident Carolyn DeMatteis has been named General Manager of Fitness Together/Mount Kisco. The announcement was made by studio co-owners Kenneth Fin and Linda Chung.

DeMatteis, who was previously a master trainer at New York Sports Club in Larchmont, will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the site in addition to selling private training packages and training Fitness Together clients. She also owned an interior design firm, Impression Interiors,
Scarsdale.

In addition to dancing competitively for five years, DeMatteis taught freestyle and the Hustle for the same period of time to students aged 18 to 50.

My goal is to inspire, motivate and educate clients on the importance of a safe and effective exercise program. This, combined with a balanced diet, can dramatically enhance the overall quality of their lives and improve their health. I want to turn exercise into a lifestyle for our clients not a chore that they dread.

Fin said that DeMatteis experience lends itself to her role as General Manager. Carolyns passion for health and fitness, combined with her interest in staying on the cutting edge of the industry, will enable her to partner with our clients and develop the proper regimen for each of them.

DeMatteis holds an Associates Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She also holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She is a certified neuromuscular stretching specialist and is CPR-certified.

There are currently six sites open in
New York, including Scarsdale, Mount Kisco (Westchester County); Roslyn, Woodbury, Lake Grove and St. James, Long Island. Other sites are slated to open in Bronxville and Rye; Setauket, Port Jefferson, Commack, Northport, Long Island; Brooklyn; Forest Hills, Queens; Fayetteville (Syracuse) and Staten Island.
