On Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Orlando, FL, female directors, managers, trainers and medical personnel, both experienced and novice, from health and wellness facilities all over the USA, gathered on to be inspired and educated by the CEO of SCW Fitness Education, Sara Kooperman, JD, Owner of Shapes Fitness for Women, Ann Gilbert and President of Midtown Health, Debra Siena. These executive women spent the morning exploring Women: Vision, Values & Verve, an exceptionally innovative event supported by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) and Women in Fitness Association (WIFA). Everyone who attended came with the desire to fuel their fire and advance their career.

The program, based upon both personal resolutions and professional aspirations of these incredible leaders, explored proven strategies and successful practices filled with active discussions. Each individual began their journey by looking at their Vision, examining what they wanted to achieve and developing a vision statement that supported their professional growth. Once a vision was developed, each attendee took the time to clarify and understand her Values so that they aligned with her individual behavior. Each person then developed a purpose based upon the female desire to please everyone while remaining true to herself. This interactive workshop concluded by addressing Verve, reviewing confidence and its ramifications on success. Every woman left with a defined and purposeful vision, a set value and the gusto to take on their future with Verve.

Following on the heels of the successful MFA Women’s Summit, came along the MFA/WIFA (Women in Fitness Association) Sisterhood Stride. Before sunrise, 30+ women and men gathered in the lobby of the Rosen Centre Hotel. With coffee in one hand and business cards in the other, these energetic early risers talked and walked for a 2-mile trek down I-Drive near the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. This 45-minute active networking session provided an opportunity to meet other fitness and business enthusiasts from 13 states around the country. By the time everyone returned, there was perspiration, exultation and motivation in the air and on the ground.

The week continued with the Athletic Business Show. SCW Fitness Education sponsored the Demo Workout Stage. Fitness professionals, mainly from Florida, provided exercise and movement over two days. The AB Show Expo Hall opened at noon on Thursday, November 14 and so did the SCW Demo Stage. The 20-minute workouts started with some heel kickin’ line dancing led by June Kittay. Throughout the afternoon there were a variety of classes. Workout participants had the opportunity to sample WaterinMotion®, on land, led by SCW CEO Sara Kooperman, Billie Wartenberg and Shapes Fitness For Women’s, CEO Ann Gilbert. WaterinMotion® is a pre-choreographed, quarterly released aquatic program for all levels. Others participated in programming provided by Zumba, Chiseled Faith, and The Warrior Experience from Alignment Essentials. A little zen relaxed the crowd as they enjoyed a Tai Chi Experience by Jacob Glassmeyer, an upcoming SCW presenter at DC MANIA® in February 2020. As the demo staged continued the second day, popular presenters returned filling the workout floor and the expo hall closed to the sound of cowboy boots again.
